Iv'e been wondering what will happen to the twenty Captains, twenty first officers and flight engineers once it is retired
Will they be made Redundent or retrained on other types in the BA fleet
I should imagine most if not all would be senior flight crew.

I imagine some will use the opportunity to seek retirement, unless of course Mr Branson gets his way.

I'd imagine that the pilots flying Concorde are the most senior working for the company. As a result, their seniority should get them any job they'd want in the company.

Apprently the majority of the captains will retire. Mike Bannister, the chief pilot for concorde and BA short haul is apprently keeping his short haul job. The flight engineers are going to be made redundent and a few of the younger captains, and the first officers will be retrained.

We're talking the creme de la creme here. I wouldn't worry too much about their jobs.

My friend over at BA got offered a move from the 777 to Concorde last year, but declined because he thought that it would increase his chance of losing his job when the aircraft was retired.
