Silly question to some of you possibly a half question?

This concerns a fleeting glimpse yesterday (while in public transport hence could not get registration) while passing the main LHR T5 building.

    Let me simplify it.

When as a passenger one enters T5 the aircraft in question was at gate three from the left (This is purely numerical)

It was at approximately 18:00 hrs and the overall colour was Black (maybe dark blue seen up close) with a large Orange circle in the middle. (striking colours I would stay except at night in some less well lit airports of the world unless one sees the large orange circle)

    What airline?

Also what if any was it doing at a T5 BA gate ?

Second minor observation was a single BA with a RED NOSE taxing to take off - Is this an annual 'Red Nose' fund raiser ?

    Apologies about my simplistic questions.

Sounds like one of Titans 737-300's most likely G-POWC. Operating flights for BA. It's been at NCL twice in the last week.

Red Nose Aircraft is indeed for Comic Relief.

Thanks for that - now that I have a name Google did the rest

It sure matches exactly what I saw although the white (or near white ) forward fuselage wasn't visisble to me from the perimeter road obviously.

Good for BA about the RED NOSE

That would be G-POWD. Same aircraft has also been used by BA between LHR and JFK In the last few weeks.

They sure stand out in the "crowd"

They sure stand out in the "crowd" with the livery.

I saw it twice more same gate at T5 and also once taxiing but again not able to get Reg as I did not have any binoculars.

The gate I saw it at are certainly mostly used for the BA Shuttles.
