Footage doesn't look good and sure details will emerge but thoughts go out to anyone injured and families of those who will I fear have lost their lives.

Very sad news indeed. 2 dead now apparently. I always thought that the A109 was a two crew machine, but despite having spent 25 years in aviation, I know very little about helicopters.

Very very sad news and an awful looking crash site. :( RIP.

MSR777, we have 2 AW109's (although I'm not sure if the new is replacing the old one) on our AOC at work but they rarely visit the airfield, however a few months back when one of them did it was single pilot, so I guess the 109 can be flown single pilot.

They were saying on TV that he had been diverted to Battersea.

Yeah that's what the radio host at 08:20 this morning was suggesting.
RIP to the two who died but it could have been a lot worse, the country's busiest train station, MI6 and several major pedestrian roads are all nearby.
