I recently saw a statement from BA and Airbus that A320 G-EUYL was the 100th Airbus that BA had recieved but I can't make that add up.

A321 G-EUXC - M = 11
A320 G-BUSB - K = 10
A320 G-EUUA - Z = 25
A320 G-EUYA - L = 12
A320 G-TTOB & E = 2
A319 G-EUPA - Z = 24 (No PI)
A319 G-EUOA - I = 9
A318 G-EUNA & B = 2

Total = 95

Can anyone elighten me as to the other 5 aircraft?

(I know G-EUYM has also now been delivered but this statement was upto an including YL.)

Maybe they are also counting the BMed A320s?

Using my own records, I can get the figure up to 97 (including G-EUYM):

2 x A318
33 x A319
51 x A320
11 x A321

Adding the 11 BMed aircraft (6 x A320, 5 x A321) would take the figure up to 108.

I've no idea where the figure of 100 comes from.

The G-BUS* lot have all been retired now, I believe. Dunno if that affects anyones figures here or not.

My figures include those aircraft.

Could it be the 100th A320series actually ordered by BA themselves? Thus excluding BMed orders and the first half of the original G-BUS* series?

That would still leave us short of the 100 figure quoted by Airbus and BA, bearing in mind that my own figure of 97 includes all of the G-BUS* aircraft and G-EUYM.

Hi Grey Area, not sure why we are one out from each other on the 320s.

The BMed suggestion might be on the right tracks, I wonder if perhaps 5 of their (or for that matter GB Airways') aircraft (but not all) were ordered by BA on behalf of the franchisee airline.

Already thought of that. See post #3 :)
