Agustawestland AW139 G-LBAL @ Blackpool Airport
Helicopters don't come much bigger than the AW139. This imposing aircraft is capable of carrying 15 passengers
About 7:30pm on March 13th 2014 an AW139 crashed in Norfolk killing N. Irelands richest man and 3 others. The helicopter was registered as G-LBAL and was owned by N. Irelands richest man himself, Lord Ballyedmond.
This helicopter made a couple of visit to Blackpool Airport on the 29th/30th of March in 2013

I think this one is awesome. Although not from Flying Wild Alaska (I'm a big fan) it's still pretty cool: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=bPSElw8qEsI

VIDEO: Manchester International (Ringway) Airport
During my holiday at the beginning of August I popped into Ringway's Aviation Viewing Park and took this film. In addition to the scheduled airlines (Qatar, BMI, Air France, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic etc) there are the usual holiday airlines (Monarch, Air TransAT, Jet2, Thomson etc) and their aeroplanes (Airbus A300, A310, A319, A320, A321 and A330; Boeing 737,747, 757 and 767) with a few from the regional airlines. There is nothing very startling in the film, it's just a record of a summer Friday lunchtime at this major regional airport which has changed out of recognition since I first started going there in 1953!
The film can be found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b19d4D2-nX0 and I hope everyone enjoys it.
Regards

No visibility. Radio silence. Undoubtedly flight 30-37 is in trouble. Captain Raul tries to stabilise the twin-engine plane to bypass the worst of the storm.
'Green hell'
But the greatest danger is not the storm or mechanical faults. It's the jungle 2,000m below: the Amazon. A green hell.
There is no space for emergency landings in the Amazon, an impenetrable jungle twice the size of Texas. That is also the pilot's greatest fear. Any breakdown means the plane could crash.
Several dozen planes have vanished into the dense jungle, swallowed up by the vegetation.
Either divine intervention or Captain Raul's skills has successfully steered the plane clear of the storm. The passengers arrive as scheduled at Acaricuara, a small Indian village.
"It's dangerous. The slightest problem and the plane will just fall out of the sky!"
Captain Raul, DC3 pilot
