Don't forget to ask the fire fighting staff to clear out their lofts - most of the instrumentation was removed and stored! |

Best of luck with the campaign, I hope its as successful as with the Manchester Trident, you did a great job there!
I know its a tricky subject so please ignore if you need to but do you get to have any involvement with the Trident at AVP anymore? MH |

Wish I could help you physically, but definately support you in spirit and donation - anything to see an example of the best looking jet-liner preserved!
Might be worth someone doing an update on Trident survivors here? |

Interesting project Neil,
Could you enlighten us with a few more details please; specifically, where do you intend to move it to, and what is its overall condition? It would be nice to see some detail pictures of the beast, so we know what we are looking at! Bruce |

I should have mentioned that I'm sure I can find a few dozen aircraft engineering students to help with the dismantling process ... just shout upwhen you need a hand.

Trident Man - have you had any contact with a Mr Jarrett, who was embarking on a similar quest with G-ARPO?
![]() His details were given out at the BAPC Meeting in August! ![]() Please PM me if you need a phone number for him.

I'll be interested to see some detail pictures of her. Hatfield aircraft withstand the elements quite badly in my experience!
Somewhere, I note that you intend to get her undercover - a worthy aim; but how will this be achieved at NEAM? With the greatest of respect to those guys, their Vulcan has been a target for the local hoodlums for some time! Bruce |

Hi all, just to imform the thread that after i secured the aircraft with a visit last week to Serco ,I have enlisted Neil Lomax and Julian Cannon to help me with the breakdown , and restoration of this trident to Neam and also Matt Falcus for the website and magazine writings .
Very kindly Neam offered her a home and are in the process of looking to expand their site boundries with new building facilities to house the trident and other aircraft. This is an exciting oppotunity for us as the trident will stay in the Northeast that has become her home for the last 26 years and is only fitting that she has the northeast Livery as a fitting tribute . Yes she needs some work inside but the outside is in fairly good shape and with your fantastic help and kind donations we can bring this lady back to her best again as the last full trident 1c left in the world. Look forward to meeting you all regards tony |

The rudder deflection is one thing, but someone seems to have stuck the nosegear back on - off centre!
![]() I love British aircraft because of minor details like that! ![]() Hopefully this project will go well, and I agree the North East livery is a good and apt one. |

Can I assume, from the position of the nose undercarriage and doors that it retracts sideways to the left ????
Stupid question No 1 ? Keith.
