I thought "clearer" shouldn't mean hiding behind two trucks. 8b

Agreed but at least the best shot with final confirmation of 1034 ... the best photo so far - at least that I had - shows it much too blurred.

    9 March 2012:
    J-8.
    PLAAF.
    Pilot was JIANG Yi Kuan.

2:50 PM, took off, for training.
42 seconds later, climbed to 300 m, loud noise, and aircraft began to shake.
Pilot scanned his instruments, saw left engine lost power, and shut down left engine.
He tried to contact the ground controller, but no response, and presumed the radio was also out.
After much manoeuvring, to avoid the civilian airport and town to his right, flew above the air base, and rocked his wings to alert the controller.
The controller reportedly realised his trouble, and cleared the traffic.
Nine minutes after take off, aircraft emergency landed.

Left engine auxiliary intake valve cracked, and debris damaged turbine blades.

    J-11BS.
    Lan Zhou AF, PLAAF.
In the morning, at 4,700 m, rear canopy shattered, and wounded co-pilot.
    Emergency landed.

Pilot (student) was ZHU Zhen Hua.
Co-pilot (instructor) was ZHANG Jian Xing, with 2,300+ hours.

8:21 AM, took off, for training.

8:55:01 AM, Zhang was instructing Zhu for a second dive and climb, when rear canopy shattered, wounded Zhang's head, and air flow ripped off his oxygen mask.
Air flow also shook Zhu, who had just one sortie for over an hour as pilot with this fighter type.

8:55:28 AM, Zhu declared emergency, and attempted to stabilise the diving fighter.
The fighter climbed to 5,000 m soon.
Blood on Zhang's eyes and visor partly blinded him.
Zhang lowered his seat, and saw the fighter had dived from 6,000 m to 2,000 m.

8:58:25 AM, fighter warned about extreme AOA and overload.
Zhang pulled back the stick, and throttled down.
Zhu collaborated, and the fighter levelled at 1,900 m.

Radio was damaged, and pilots couldn't contact ground controller.
Zhang's mouth was wounded, and couldn't talk with Zhu.
Zhu looked back, saw the blood on Zhang, didn't know how wounded was Zhang, but Zhu felt through the stick that Zhang was awake and controlling the fighter.

8:59 AM, they stabilised the fighter.
9:03 AM, they struggled, and adjusted to RTB mode.
9:12:47 AM, they got into the landing course.
    9:16 AM, emergency landed.

    Before 20 April 2013:
    Su-30MKK2.
    Callsign or bort number 786.
    East Sea Fleet, PLAN.

On 20 April 2013, CCTV Channel 4 reported: during a night take-off, a PLAN Su-30 left engine ate a bird, and after eight minutes, it landed with one engine, albeit overweight with fuel and ordnance.

The report interviewed WANG Zhong, a division chief of staff assisstant... but I don't know if he's a spokesman or one of the pilots?

    *RUMOUR*

News photos taken from afar, show a burning and/or smoking object in a field.
Note the words "possibly" are according to news articles at news sites, for example, Ming Pao and Sina.
After all, the accident aircraft might be civilian.

    3 May 2013:
    Helicopter.
Possibly 7th Regiment, 26th Field Army (26th Ji Tuan Jun), Ji Nan military district, PLA.

6:40 AM, collided with power lines, and crashed at a wheat farm, at or near Si He Village, Jiang Guan Tun, Liao Cheng City, Shan Dong Province.

    Crew and/or passengers possibly wounded.

Power loss in nearby counties for 2+ hours.
Also, power loss disabled factories and pumping stations, and consequently caused water loss.

By afternoon, tens of militia blockaded access to crash site.

    News article with map.
The first red dot east (right) of the crash site, is Ji Nan City.
The first red dot west (left) of the crash site, is Liao Cheng City.
The red star far north of the crash site, is Bei Jing City.

    http://paper.wenweipo.com/2013/05/04/YO1305040010.htm

    Possibly Z-9 with 3+ crew.

    Probably Mi-171.
    PLA or PLAAF.

About 4:40 PM, crash-landed at a farm, at Wang Si Town, Da Yi County, Cheng Du City, Si Chuan Province.

    Five crew wounded.

Witnesses claimed the helo wobbled as it descended, hit the perimeter wall of a factory, and crash-landed on its ****.
Its rotors kept turning, until it rolled onto its left side, when the blades hit the ground, and broke.

Witnesses feared it would explode, and hesitated.
When it didn't, they rushed to rescue its crew.

After 10+ minutes, a second helo landed, and flew away with four less-wounded crew.
A local ambulance rescued a fifth crew.

Crash site was 50 m from Cheng-Wen-Qiong highway = highway that connects Cheng Du, Wen Jiang, and Qiong Lai.

About 7:56 PM, Si Chuan On-Line reporter at Da Yi County People's Hospital, reported it was treating two wounded crew for fractures.
Both were men: FAN Hao (22), and LI Xiang Hui (21).
