    Most probably Seersuckers or Krakens. The true Silkworms (HY-1) didn't last long with both the PLA and in the exports. The missile the Western press calls colorfully as "Silkworms" are actually Seersuckers (HY-2) with an extended range due to the lengthened fuselage. The ones Iran fired in the Gulf are all Seersuckers.

    However, you cannot rule out other missiles because both the Sadsack (HY-4) and the Kraken (YJ-6) are also based on the same airframe as the Seersucker. The YJ-61 is the last version of the Kraken.

    The portside wingtip extension from "showtimes pic" indicates a HY-1.
    I am aware that all Styx-clones carried different names to highlight new capabilities.
    We do not know the age of that pic. If someone can point special details from that pic, please do so.

    To ease the temper a little bit. Most changes of a weapons-system take place internally and sometimes manyfold performances. For example the externally similar variants of "HAWK/STANDARD/EXOCET/KOMORAN/ROLAND"
    are not the same from the 60s/70s any more, but still known under their first name/acronym given.

    Definitely an old photo due to the Mao suits and caps the workers wear. Today factory workers either wear white lab coats or blue overalls.

    Somehow I cannot find a better word sens... That plane should be replaced. PAF doesn't like it. It has terrrible handling and what potential has a shortlegged double seated version? Trainer?

    My working week and my Sunday rest,
    My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
    I thought that love would last forever; I was wrong.

    The stars are not wanted now; put out every one:
    Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
    Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods:

    Well, looks like we may have another new J-11 regiment folks. The planes have been ID'ed as 12th Division Jinan MR.

    what details are known at present of the J-10s radar ? is stuff like weight, dish diameter,
    number of targets tracked & number attacked, A2G modes, A2A range against fighters known?

    I am also interested in details of the Thales RC400 if anyone has it. Their website has
    a very limited info in the PDF file.

    Indi....not much is known.....

    Its believed to be the "Type 1473/KLJ3"..

    I think, there was some info about it in the NRIET website....but they seem to have removed that in a hurry... But you still get a small pic of the J-10 at the top.....so that might be an indication....
    http://www.nriet.cn/eBusiness/GB/index.asp

    But no info there......

    So when it comes to the others.....

    Hui Tong says this:

    ...A new PD fire-control radar (search distance 52~148km, track 4-8 targets simultaneously) will also be fitted. The radar candidates included Israeli Elta EL/M 2035, Russian Phazotron Zhuk-M (Zhemchug), but more likely the indigenous Type 1473/KLJ3. A variety of newly developed air-to-air (e.g. PL-8 short-range IR-guided AAM and PL-11/PL-12/SD-10 medium-range radar-guided AAM) and air-to-surface weapons including ASMs and LGBs are also expected to be carried...
    http://mil.jschina.com.cn/huitong/J-10_J-11_FC-1.htm

    But Dong Feng Says this:
    ...The J-10 is reported to be fitted with an indigenous KLJ-3 pulse-Doppler fire-control radar developed by Nanjing Research Institute of Electronic Technology (also known as 14th Institute). The KLJ-3 radar, which might be based on early variant AN/APG-66/68 technology, is said to have a maximum detecting range of 100~130km (attacking range 80~90km), and is capable of engaging two targets simultaneously. The radar system was tested on a Y-7 aerial radar testbed before being fitted on the J-10.

    Russian company Phazotron is prompting its Zhuk-10PD, a version of the system in later Su-27s, with 160km search range and ability to track up to six targets. Israel has also offered its Elta EL/M-2035 radar for competition...

    Hui Tong for along time has been considered the most accurate and consistent.....
