Craig Penrice - Hunter accident 2003

I remember hearing about this Hunter that came down in a field in Wales on its way back from an airshow in June 2003, with its pilot Craig Penrice - a BAE test pilot at the time, receiving quite severe injuries from the resultant ejection http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/2954538.stm .

Does anyone know if he made a full recovery and returned to flying afterwards?

    Rob,
Here are some web links that may assist in answering your question - the first being the most pertinent, but already 15 years old - go to the end of the page and read the 4th to last paragraph. The rest of the article is also very interesting regards this incident and ejection as well as a previous one by the same pilot.
    http://www.ejection-history.org.uk/p...rice_Craig.htm

The second link is the AAIB report concerning the loss of the Hunter - https://assets.publishing.service.go...pdf_028723.pdf

And third, a more up to date link to a YouTube interview with Craig Penrice that was published in October 2015 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHV1MVvUxu4

and finally a link to a BAe article - http://www.baesystems.com/en/feature...stems-heritage

Skeeler - many thanks for taking the time to post up those links, very informative and they have indeed answered my initial questions. A shame but understandable that this incident effectively ended his flying career.

Scotavia - nice idea, thanks for the tip off.
