The Royal International Air Tattoo – 14-16 July 2017

The Air Tattoo, one of the UK's premier outdoor events, takes place over the weekend of 14, 15, 16 July with an extravaganza of entertainment for all the family. This year celebrates the 70th anniversary of the United States Air Force and will see the return of the USAF Thunderbirds Demonstration Team in their famous F-16 Fighting Falcons and the F-22A Raptor.

Alongside the thrilling flying action, visitors will be treated to non-stop entertainment on the ground - so whether a wide-eyed first timer or a seasoned airshow veteran, the experience is breathtaking.
During the thrilling 7.5 hour flying display (4 hours on Friday) visitors will get to see fast jets, giant transporters, historic aircraft, and much, much more. There will be a chance to meet the crews, get close to the aircraft and enjoy a feast of first class entertainment including the Techno Zone, an interactive showcase designed especially for youngsters, the Vintage Village, Autodrome and the Adrenalin Zone.

With FREE entry for accompanied under-16s and FREE parking for ticket holders, the Air Tattoo offers great value for money day out.

The Air Tattoo is staged in support of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust, a charity set up in 2005 to support the wider RAF family. As well as seeking to develop a spirit of air-mindedness in youngsters, it also aims to promote excellence with the Royal Air Force.

We went Sunday.I was a great day out but at times it did seem to descend into a battle of the hyper ego commentators and "music" that really didn't play out well on the tannoy system.
I have to give credit to the Red Arrows commentator he did take the mickey out of the Thunderbirds commentator ,"sit back ,put your feet up and relax ,IT'S SHOWTIME LOL The stalls were were few [unless you wanted food ] and not a huge amount of aviation themed ones really. There seemed to be plenty of toilets for a change but there just didn't seem to be the crowds.
An enjoyable day out.We were lucky we got into the red carpark and out in a few minutes and back at my friends in Oxford in 50 mins.
