    Elmdon built Luton Minor G-ASEA

In about winter of 1962-1963 as a young aircraft spotter news got round of someone building there own aircraft in one of the old Nissan huts near the freight offices at Elmdon airport.
Myself and a pal went hunting out said aircraft by peering through cracks in the various hut doors. We were in an area we shouldnt have been in but haven't we all done it.
Well we found the hut, and while squinting through the keyhole trying to make out the aircraft the door suddenly opened almost bowling us over.
We had picked the working night session.
The man was very kind, took pity on us and invited us in to take a look at his creation which was Luton Minor G-ASEA.
At this stage it was almost complete but not painted. We got the reg from the brass plaque inside the cockpit.
Probably this was the only aircraft built at Elmdon except for the Stirlings over at the Meto Cammell factory in WW2.
I next saw the aircraft complete in the little tin hanger at Wellesbourne Mountford in the summer of 1966.
Haven't seen it since though I know it still exists from GINFO, apparently somewhere in Petersfield Hampshire.
Can anybody inform me of its present status, and if possible any photos, particularly during its early days. Didn't seem to get about much.
Would love to see an old friend from my past.

Albeit news from 11 years ago now, it appears from a search on Google that G-ASEA was under restoration here:

Captured in flight back in 1981 here:

Or on the ground back in 1975 here:

Hopefully when Dave next visits this forum, we will get some information from the horse's mouth: G-ASEA!

I know he owned the Luton as a project for many years, but I understand he has now sold it on.
Listening out for something interesting approaching...
