A member of the U.S.-backed Syrian rebel forces told Reuters the strikes hit a convoy of Syrian and Iranian-backed militias that were heading toward a base used by U.S. and U.S.-supported forces.

Muzahem al Saloum, from the Maghawir al Thwra group, told Reuters that the jets struck after some rebel forces clashed with Syrian and Iranian militias after they had advanced to about 17 miles (27 km) from the base.

"We notified the coalition that we were being attacked by the Syrian army and Iranians in this point, and the coalition came and destroyed the advancing convoy," Saloum said.
What does Syrian Militants or Pro-regime forces really means? Was it govermantal SAA forces or not? Aren't there a Kurd Faction that is US hostile in that area?
    Thanks

    @Ryan and Mrmalaya.
Have you forgotten what happen on Friday in any Islamic country or have I to assume you are partecipating at a thread about a war scenario of which you know absolutely nothing?

I assumed you meant it was a bad time for a global war with it being the start of the weekend.

    LOOOL not!
Friday is the day of the Islamic collective prayer i.e. the moment Muslims came all together and Mullahs and Imams can call for a "Day of Wrath".

Marcellogo, please do not include me in the same response as you address Ryan. I was referring to the hype in the previous posts about an American strike, he is being borderline offensive as usual.

If he tried it, it was an epic fail, as I cannot get offended in any way by someone eventually showing its own bad manners or ignorance of a certain argument in a public forum as actions like these in this context contain their own punishment in themselves.

Lighten up, I'm just having a laugh. I mean, "Day of Wrath," how the hell can you take that seriously?

The US backed Free syrian Army is official out the game in Syria. With the SAA, its allies and Russias momentum now its only a matter of days and weeks before they have retaken every pockets and borders against Jordan.
And when that happens, the FSA is forced to operate out of Jordan and Iraq.

Considering that RuAF jets made precise night strikes on moving terrorist targets, there is a good question if Platan complex in Su-34 also have FLIR channel inside.

I did not if this is the correct translation in English, but ther friday's prayer is the moment that usually spark revolts in M.E. as you can't just ban people going to Mosques without facing an uprise.
I have given you the benefit of doubt , you are demostrating by yourself it was wasted .

Moar vids, and with its aftermath. Grab your popcorn folks!

there are a lot of near impact, but it matters not. If those crater are from a KAB-250 or 500, then the personel could just as easy die from shrapnels or the shockwave from nearby blast.

a powerfull shockwave can make your brain transform into gelly mush.. yes i know, nasty stuff, but in this instant rightly so.

There seems to be terror every day of the week, I genuinely didn't realise they had a favourite day in their culture.

Strange, on some clips they have censored the Launch Authorized symbol and the subsequent countdown to impact, yet on others it is perfectly visible?

Anyway, 21 second flight time on one of them, they are shooting at pretty long ranges.

Note how the Ka-52 engages targets consistently from farther away than the Mi-28 (from what we have seen at least), and the GOES-451 handles the range and targets much better than crappy Tor.

The Kamov has an image stabilization function that lets it actually shoot things out to 8km. The Mi-28N does not so good luck hitting anything past 4km. That said the Kamov still lacks an auto-track or any kind of fire and forget. An auto-track should at least be within the Russian's technical capability, but no each missile is flown in totally manually by the pilot. A waste. Russian attack helicopters are where US attack helicopters were in 1991. The gap is 25+ years.

How do you know the Ka-52 does not have an auto-tracker? Them using manual is an operator choice.

Fire and forget adds nothing to the engagements they are in vs ISIS/other rebs anyways.
