    I wonder if it would be feasible to get those Nigerian Jaguars operational again? When they were put up for sale it said they were flyable.

    Nope.. they were not conserved before having been stored.. hydraulic lines, cable harnesses, fuel lines, everything is rotten and corroded..

    He was my North, my South, my East and West,
    My working week and my Sunday rest,
    My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
    I thought that love would last forever; I was wrong.

    The stars are not wanted now; put out every one:
    Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
    Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods:
    For nothing now can ever come to any good.

    Where do I even start commenting to that? What sort of lunacy is it not to conserve the aircraft? I wonder if they all that stuff can be replaced economically? I'm grasping at straws but I hate to see those gorgeous birds like that.

    Well, TIA.. this is Africa.. the question of Jaguars has been sorted out in Nigeria quite recently when they decided to boost their aerial combat capabilities.. as a result, NAF have purchased F-7NMs, refurbished few remaining Alpha Jet NGEA2s, started to buy out available 2nd hand Alpha Jet As, opted for first three FC-1s... but Jags were left untouched.. I think that explains it rather clearly.

    Yeah it does. I actually expected the answers, I just hoped for something different. Some Nigerians are under the illusion that it is possible.

    Another unrelated question to anyone out there - does anyone have any photographs of Mexican Air Force AT-33s/ T-33As in armed configuration (gun pods, rockets etc). I miss the sight of those birds. When the FAB finally retires theirs, it will be a sad day.

    An American company is selling Uzbek aircraft....a rather weird one too:

    Su-27:

    Su-25:

    They claim they are selling 7 MiG-29s, 5 Su-27s, 1 Su-25 and 22 Su-17.

    Might there be any photo's of Katanga Air Force Dornier Do-28A-1 aircraft ?
    They had a very short operational live in the field.
