The Optica was not one I thought I would see there the **** I had moving them around at North Weald in the late 90's early 2000's

It was the Optica's appearance in the 1980's sci-fi film 'slipstream' that first brought this wonderfully eccentric British contraption to my attention.

That is a Crusader. I think you meant to say X-32, rather than X-35. It resembles both the Corsair and Crusader. I liked this pic because it showed the Y-rack. The same rack was mountable on either side with the rail assembly adjusted accordingly. One side angled upwards while the drogue side angled downwards to keep it from obstructing a2a refueling.

It's otherwise a great shot but the different racks on each side bother my sense of aesthetics. Should be a Y-rack on the other side too!

hmm yes Indeed, I meant F-8 Crusader and the X-32 being the modern day equivelant. Surely you must love the X-32 as well
