I'm somewhat humbled to say I received an Airfix 1/24th scale Mosquito from a very good friend and his family. Banff Strike Wing colours appeal greatly.

But first I think a quick build is in order. Revell 1/48 Skyraider from the stash should do nicely.

Not sure if this counts as just a kit but i'm getting the Zero part work in 1/16th scale and all metal so its going to be a bit on the large side! I must admit I havn't even started it yet waiting to get all the bits first. And also I need to get a lot more reference material pics etc before hand.

No kits from my nearest & dearest, but last week, I did pick up a Fw189 and Sturmovik from Nottingham Modelzone, £2.99 each.

I'm also going to do a Banff machine, more specifically this one:



I wanted something a bit more colourful than norm, with rockeds and invasion stripes, and this one suits the bill perfectly.

It also crashed on my birthday, but years before I was born, (which I found odd). Apparently one of the machine guns was passed down as a family heirloom in Denmark, until confiscated by police, and is now part if the deHavilland Museums collection.
