Not exactly one of the most memorable of Farnborough air shows… or perhaps it was due to the lack of highlights compared to all previous shows. Pricy to get in as well.
However, I have no doubt that plenty of punters who went at the weekend enjoyed the show and as far as the Friday is concerned though milling with kids getting in your way if it got some of them fascinated in technology and engineering as a future career then it achieved one of the major objectives in helping the wider economic interest.
Despite the restrictions on the displays, I thought that the flying was a little lower and closer to the crowd than previous years.
I only went inside the airfield on the Friday. On the Sunday, I was outside the airfield to avoid that packed hemmed in feeling. I was also in the area on Wednesday.
Perhaps in 2014 we could have a JSF in the display.
