Different Pitot tube location = AESA installed..Wow, great logic here.
How about this:
Pitot tube removed = AESA or any radar installed.

This site has some new close-ups of the second prototype 2002 and makes the observation that the different location of the pitot tubes suggests that the chinese have installed a AESA radar in the second prototype of the J-20

I'd say that the pure presence of a pitot tube on the radome clearly indicates there is no AESA radar installed there, at all.... but feel free to believe this BS if you want.
I just fail to see why this deserves an entirely new thread..

It will be as many as the propagating J-20 by one premeditated.
The truth usually between two extremes, the key is when and where.
Opinions , opinions are like noses ...everyone has one![]()
Early prototype - later prototype - see the difference?

Better move this to original J 20 thread.
A pitot tube does not rule out of the existence of a radar.
foreign country jealous China can make stealth fighter with AESA already. Some other countries cannot even get that far with their own stealth fighter.
The only jealousy I can see here is the one of Chinese fanboys fighting their inferiority complex by inventing BS stories.
Face it, there is no radar on the 2002. It's a prototype meant for flight testing, hardly more than an empty hull plus two engines. The only thing that is working there is FBW and some rudimentary MMI.

May I ask a moderator to calm down this group of new "Chinese fan boys" PLAESE !!???![]()

It's nearly impossible to argue, either they ignore substantial posts or they simply post another list of their only "sources" from Wikipedia and fyjs-fan posts ... and most of all in that way no kind of discussion is possible any longer.
With all due respect I think it's anoying how the quality of this forum went down during the last months ....

Who would install a complete avionics suite on an aircraft that has flown just few dozens of flights in one prototype before? Get real, guys..
it is no prototype because in China many thing is secret. that mean when the photo of airplane is flying, that mean it is not really the first time but more advance stage ready to show to the publics. prototype of J-20 was already starting in secret away from photographer. the model flying is the preproductions model. that why J-20 flying in full paint and markings and radar not unpaint like Russian stealth jet.
maybe in 2015 we see first squadron of J-20 while russian stealth jet have to go through the redesigns because its body is breaking. maybe 2025 for them. American JSF also 2020 because of money problem
Yawn.
1. It is just a prototype. It can do exactly three things - take-off, fly and land. A good start but still years before it can even fire the most basic A-A missile.
2. Russian stealth jets, too have full paint and markings, and still are just prototypes
3. Chinese officials themselves admit the J-20 would not be entering service before 2018, good luck with your 2015 date.
Got more BS you need debunked? Let's hear it.![]()

Don't bother, he is a joke.
Didn't wanted to reply here , becasue this thread is really useless( based on what i can read here ) , but i'll just say that me i HOPE J-20 will achieve IOC before 2018, just to make the yanks more gealous and be proven wrong once more.
Btw , i know the yanks say J-20 won't get into service before 2018, but MSphere can you point me to the chinese source saying the same ? Thanks.![]()
that would still be better than F-35's schedule, with IOC after 2020 given full production is delayed again to 2019http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-0...velopment.html

If you want ur squadron flight a plane that might have unknown crack, have no radar, have malnutrited engines, have avionic unwired then the plane can have IOC before 2018....
unfortunately high brass of PLAAF dont want this so they put optimistic date of 2018 and still expect their precalculated few years delay...
J-10 was much older than what reported the first time in west. same for j-20
