Our company's internet security software has just started blocking access to photo-sharing websites. This also means that it's impossible for me to view any of the images posted on this forum that originate from Flickr, Photobucket, etc. And since I get hardly any time on our home computer, it's going to be a major pain the the @rse.

Having to report a threat left on the voicemail at work, via our own security then to police, who actually sent two uniformed officers in to listen and take notes. I know its a saddo, he probably knows he is a saddo, but as it stated a specific "course of action" he would follow, and a time limit, it rated as "serious" and we had two uniforms in the building.

    Paranoid control-freakery!

I've found out that the policy banning access to photo-sharing web-sites (see above) involves all websites where it's possible to upload files. It's apparently at the insistance of some of our clients (American banks) who don't want our staff to be able to copy their data outside of our network. Which assumes that (a) we are untrustworthy and (b) we are too stupid to copy the sensitive stuff onto a memory stick and take it home.

Not being able to open the bedroom window due to the heat causing the lock to expand and jam. Which was ironic as you only tend to open it when it's hot!

    Supanet!

Unable to access my emails for the last few days, does not recognise my account or log in.

Apparently Supanet has updated their service (according to their customer services) and this includes booting people off their site!!

At work today, seeing that they have seen fit to stick "Instruction" sheets on the back of the toilet cubicles to show how to use the facilities with your backside in the right place, and not carping on the floor in front of the loo or climbing onto the loo.................

Is this what the world (or the UK ?) is coming to......

    Snap Spitfireman!

Supanet also dicked me after 6 years with them - I recently declined their attempt to get me to sign-up for a yearly contract due to an impending house move. Last month I phoned-in my month's notice (according to contract) - yesterday, they arbitrarily changed the collection day for my direct debit, by bringing it forward one week, and then had the cheek to charge me for going over my download limit, even though I was on an unlimited download package, which I had hardly used for that last month due to packing my PC stuff ready for the oaforementioned house move. Needless to say, I won't be using them again.

In ours we have diagrams showing how to wash your hands. Fer gawd's sake, I'm 55 years old, so I think I've probably learned that by now.

    Halfords' self-sealing cycle inner tubes.
According to the guff on the box, "seals holes up to 3mm diameter".

    Bulldust.

Went for a cycle ride today, a fairly long distance one for me.
The whole ride passed without incident, until I went over something in the road... hissssssssss
I attempted to re-inflate the tyre, but it was having none of it. Fortunately, I was quite near home.
Upon investigation, there was a small (considerably less than 3mm!) hole in my so-called self-sealing innertube.

I was going to complain, but quite frankly, after my last experience with Halfords' customer service, I can't be bothered going through all the ar$eache again, so I repaired the puncture, all the time cursing the very name of Halfords.

Hi Don, On the bright side, you still managed to get a little bit of excersize, I have had one or two things like yours, taken up with trading standards, who have made one or two Companies recompence me for their missleading ads, try them, one never knows.

Paul, now he has been through the Judicial system, and having made their decision, he will undoubtable face an enquiry within his own Force, who, I hope will dismiss him, WITHOUT his Pension rights.
This may take some time though, but I have no doubt at all, Justice will not only be done, but seen to be done.

some of the comments related to this on their facebook page

people demanding refunds (within hours of being asked to leave) because they were being looked after, calling the events organizers thieves,

they could have been seriously injured had the festival continued

i have friends working down there, who were meant to be doing pyrotechnics(wet weather ones) and they have been sent home as its that dangerous

    some people are never pleased

Newforest, No, Duane was 3 yrs older than I, but he could make his guitar "Talk" like no other. I can't think of who, today, one could compare him with. Like so many of the greats, he was a one off.

With moving around quite a lot, they(My records), have gotten lost somewhere along the way.

Paul, Great guitar player, It's a very long time since I have seen such a performance such as this. His fingers move at the speed of light. I may well see what else there is of his kicking around.
    Link much appreciated, Thanks.
