Some years ago (like 12!) I did this profile. I *know* I wasn't smoking anything, and I *know* I didn't make it up. I had a photograph of DZ410 taken from the left nose that clearly showed the entire airplane painted Night. You could see the "K" painted on the bomb aimer's center panel (the entire nose was painted black, windows and all). For love nor money, I can't locate the photo I used. I did the profile specifically because DZ410 is possibly the first dedicated airplane in history whose sole job was the collection of signals intelligence (all antennas except Monica and Gee were internal, thanks to the wooden structure).
I've been through every Mosquito reference I own, all of my Mosquito files, and every book I own dealing with 192 Sqdn and 100 Group - nothing. Martin Streetly's 100 Group stuff shows artists renditions of her with grey/green camouflage on top and Night below, but the photo I remember disputes that.
Does ANYONE have a clue where I might have seen that photograph?? Any assistance would be most gratefully appreciated.
Thanks!
Jennings Heilig
PS: The white stripe in the fin flash dropped off for some reason. It's really supposed to be there.
