    East Kirkby/Just Jane photographic event

    Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who joined us for our photographic event on the 17th March 2012.
There are some seriously amazing photos on here and some great positive feedback. We were happy with the way everything went and how everyone was so "well behaved". It was a real pleasure to run the event. I think we were just about at maximum numbers for the logistics of it all.
We are planning on running the event again so if you're interested keep your eyes peeled on the forum and out website/twitter/facebook!

Cheers for running it - my partner and I really enjoyed the day and relished the opportunity to get close to such a beautifully preserved aircraft.

I've not got round to it yet but will send a CD with a few of my shots into the Aviation Centre as a thank you.

I also had a go at compressing the dynamic range of a B&W image to give it that war-time look - a bit more work needed I think, but if you squint a little it could almost be a 1940's photo

    Thanks again!

Liking your work ! You would not imagine there is so much light and shade to be portrayed on black aeroplane.

I am not normally a fan of the whole 'enactor' scene, but it works very well here, without the usual self-conscious gurning, and fifty year old bespectacled 'fighter pilots.' !

    Thumbs up

Very beautiful pictures. I see the classic. It reminds me of the past.

    It's lovely.

If there was some way you could just matt down the black on her fuselage it would be perfect.

    Lovely B/W photo
IMHO the only thing that betrays the age of the image is the fact that Just Jane looks in too good a condition for a bomber with that many bomb tallys.
Other than that it's a very evocative photo. Looks to have been a good day. Thanks for posting.
