I think the smaller fighter could tag team and cause head aches for the France Rafales.

what counts more than the sheer size is the RCS value, and in that regard, the rafale is quite competitive

It will depend mostly on AWACs and ELINT/SIGNIT support, but I would say (of course) that Rafale would eat them for breakfast !

India is already training with the US and other major Western power, collaboration with France is bound to increase, so, one of the best airforce in the world training with THE best airforces in the world, in one of the best fighter in the world... Well you get the picture

Indian Rafales vs Pakistani Vipers = ouch for the Vipers
Indian Rafales vs Chinese J-10s = Rafales still win but with a smaller margin

The real deal will be Rafale F4s vs J-20s ...
