Not seen anything this year yet apart from low level Apache's over the wilds of Essex.
Come on, blow the dust of your rides![]()
A Chippie flying over Rutland Water on Saturday.
Tact is the knack of making a point without making an enemy.
I managed to tick off all four of the RAF Brize Norton types (OK, exclude the Voyager, yet to see one in the air) on a bike ride the Friday before last. C-17 I can do without, but I get an immense kick from watching the supremely elegant VC-10s still in the circuit.
Bright Young Thing.
This afternoon passing South of Gunby, E. Lincs routing West...and later passing North of Gunby heading East...I believe was a PA-23 Apache.

Spitfire at 7:45 AM on wednesday gone, heading into Biggin Hill. TA805? From Duxford perhaps after winter maintenance?
Tuesday 31st Jan. Mid-afternoon
Overhead Old Buckenham airfield Norfolk, heading North. A black or dark coloured Fokker Dr.I Dreidecker
A replica (?) Alternatively a really spooky haunted airfield story?

Seen the East Midlands Air Ambulance sadly landing near by, never like seeing it flying as it normally means some bad news for a family somewhere.
Inkworm's Illustrations, professional aviation profiles.
Percival Pembroke G-BNPH I assume, heading East toward Arundel, north of the railway line at 11.12 today.
2 Merlin Helicopters nice and low circled RMA Sandhurst @ 17.36hrs .Cheers Chaps.

Excellence is not a skill. It is an attitude.
Not so much a whole airframe, part of an engine really.
Not any old engine but what looked like a Merlin engine returning from a machine shop somewhere back to Shuttleworth's on the back of a pick up truck.
Followed out of Sandy, Beds along the A1.

There has been twice in a month a BAe 146 going into Yeovilton. Any ideas who's this might be ? presume a Uk one, but doesn't look like a Royal flight.
We have also had an Apache doing circuits, and some Pumas as well at Henstridge.
Not really spotted recently, but it was this year (just). On the 4th January I was driving past the end of Kemble and saw a Spitfire doing touch and goes. I had to pull over turn off the engine and open the windows to listen to the goose-bump inducing Merlin..... It's made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up just thinking about it!!! Beautiful
OV Bronco landed at Dx this morning. Lovely aeroplane.
Went from the Embankment to Greenwich on the Thames Clipper last week and was overflown by a Lynx, Chinook and two Apaches. Bad guys beware.
How about a single seat Hunter on a lorry heading west on the M4 between J16 and J17 on Wednesday (7/3) morning. Later mentioned on the Cardiff and St.Athan blog as arriving at St.Athan, possibly G-EGHH. I am sure a certain member of this forum will be able to confirm in due course.
Andy

U2 over cheltenham 08.20 on thurs morning-presumably into Fairford.
Fokker Eindecker (assume replica)
Looked like it was leaving Old Warden yesterday late afternoon about 5.30pm. Heading south and then east into a glorious calm spring evening.
Not sure who owns this, but it would sit very well with the other Shuttleworth types e.g. as a static exhibit on display days.

Ooops, wrong thread!
I thought this was the precursor to "Will it be at Legends?"
