Hell Mikkel, i'm originally from somewhere not too far from you!!
Ethiopia, Somalia, Ivory Coast, Namibia, Libya, and Zimbabwe
but I have some doubts if Somalia's ones actually fly. Algerian ones are supposedly already retired. Libyan ones are flying for both sides (well one side now). The Namibians got two from Angola.

check small air forces thread you can find many things there

    Here a MiG-23UB from DR Congo. Ex-Libyan AF #7920.
    Obviously not airworthy.

Mikkel, I can heartly recommend the book African MiGs. You will learn a great deal and there is superb artwork. Tom Cooper and his colleagues did a magnificent job.

If there is a MiG-23 operator that deserves special mention, it is Angola. They have operated the type with distinction.

Yes they did, two ML delivered from Bulgaria and now impounded in Togo, seen here at Yamoussoukro AB in 2005:

    Sorry
I meant Ivory Coast never had any operational Flogger. As far as I know, two former Bulgarian MiG-23MLD(E) were airliofted to IC. They flew some check flights, and were soon diverted to Lome, in Togo. I guess it was destruction by the French troops. They have never flown since, and are currently embargoed. I wonder if they'll ever fly again. Due to the very short time they stood in IC, it is hard to consider them as "combat aircraft of the Republic of Ivory Coast". ...

I was spinning round the web and found this image claimed to be MiG-23 TU-VCH.

There seems to be a lot of confusion over whether the MiG-23 actually made it to Ivory Coast?

Is it just me but could that image claimed to be Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast actually be Lome, Togo?

See following for Google Earth image of Lome originally posted by 'Googeler'. Note hangar and markings on ground. Looks like French Air Force transports visiting?

See attachment for Su-25 with Ivory Coast hangar. I can't see any similarities between hangars?

That's TU-VCH impounded at Lome Tokoin AFB, not at Yammousoukro.
