A waltham CDIA from a B17 ?

I understood that the CDIA was only used in USN aircraft and that the B17 used an Elgin A11.

You would think if it was presented it would not be years after the event and the plaque would be on the front rather than a bit of paper stuck on the back?
when you have excluded the impossible whatever remains however improbable must be the truth
Baz owns the second best Spitfire Replica in the World.
Just thinking a bit here, could they possibly have been crew members together when something memorable happened and then after the war when they had returned to the US one of them aquired an aircraft clock (whatever was available) and presented it to the other as a thank you type of thing.

Wow! heck of a price reduction, seem to recall this one had a £500k tag a while back!
Still, it is the post Xmas sale season I guess.
Sometimes it's better to be a bumblebee than it is to be Professor Heinkel.
The Swift still needs a zero removed from the price tag!
Yup, loose one more zero and it will sell!

At least if I am not mistaken that Cheetah has been on three or four times and the price originally was an awful lot more than that.

Sorry not from our Kate, we had numerious odds and ends left over from sweeping out the containers, this is a fuel tank strap, the Kate tanks are intact most likely this is from one of our Ki-43 Oscars.
I see the Supermarine Swift has dropped yet further in price. Now standing at a Buy It Now of £20,000 or Best Offer. A deal maybe done yet it seems.
