I think Imperial/BA used some very streamlined Chrysler Airflows at some point prewar so perhaps the Topolino represents those.

I notice a change of ownership regarding Spitfire G-AIST / AR213. On Monday 20th, it was changed to 'Spitfire The One Ltd'. It was noted on Tuesday still with ARCO at Duxford. Time will tell....

    G-ADCN / G-AIYR

Following on from its filming yesterday at Duxford G-ADCN/G-AIYR was noted this morning near Classic Wings Office just before the rains descended.

    Hi Cees,
I took some more photos of the Fraser Nash Turret this week if they are any use. They are busy on Mary Alice so no-one seemed to be working on it.

The Frazer Nash turret has a story behind it. Apparently it came from a Wellington that had glider towing mods and had been sent to the USA. It will probably move to the Airspace building sometime. Also visible in Hangar 5 are some more authentic engine cowlings for the Anson.

What's taking off from the main runway?
If anybody ever tells you anything about an aeroplane which is so bloody complicated you can't understand it, take it from me: It's all balls. RJM.

    Monday June 27th:

Great news for TFC, with the first flight in 3 years from Spitfire FR.XIVe G-SPIT / MV268:

    327:G-SPIT / MV268

    328:G-SPIT / MV268

    329:G-SPIT / MV268

Not an early Legends arrival, but another star recruited for the British Airways filming. DC-3 LN-WND arrived for a few days stay:

    330:LN-WND

    331:LN-WND

    332:LN-WND

Meanwhile, the Super VC-10 G-ASGC is being 'dressed' for its role:

    334:G-ASGC

A few period pieces are ready to create some atmosphere:

    BOAC VAN

The assembly of the Fury has started, with the fitting of the tail surfaces. Firstly, the fin was removed to allow horizontal tailplane to be fitted:

    335:G-CBZP / K5674

With everything fitted, careful rigging starts:

    336:G-CBZP / K5674

    A few details:

    337:G-CBZP / K5674

    338:G-CBZP / K5674

    326:G-CBZP / K5674

Finally, something is going on with Mary Alice (Not to be taken seriously!):

    333:F-BDRS

Pete Kynsey (Chief Pilot, TFC) was in the Spitfire today. 30 minutes handling, then a vigorous display practice. Good to hear a Griffon at full tilt again.

Lets see, a forward fuselage and two Pegs at Brooklands, wings at East Kirby, tail plane at Morton in Marsh and that turret. I sense a a future Wimpy project... if someone can round all those up!

I thought the Fury was supposed to be a biplane, but I was wrong.....
It is undoubtably the best looking Parasol monoplane ever!!!!!
