The fighter belongs to the air fighter academy GmbH in Heringsdorf. The airfighter academy runs a big collection of beautiful warbirds. Its a place like heaven on earth. Heringsdorf is on the island Usedom / North-East-Germany.

.... and some guys from Switzerland were visting the shop and surprise-surprise on of them arrived with his fantastic 1968 Ford Mustang convertible ...... of course we made a gathering













it was really fun ... and of course some mugshots ... my person sitting in the Mustang. Dont show this unique shots your wives and/or daughters (for the use in Gemany, I edited the swastikas, stupid laws)

Mattias, hello from west coast of Canada. While I am a warbird nut I am also a Porsche nut. Can you show some pictures of that beautiful little cabriolet that sometimes show up in the background. In my misspent youth I had a '58 coupe for awhile and I still miss it.

Is it possible to visit the aircraft collection at Meier Motors? In May my wife and I will be on holiday in Alsace, near Colmar, only about an hour's drive away.

Are there any other aircraft museums down that way?

Today was the first rollout and runup of the second MeierMotors FockeWulf project. That fighter was formally registered as G-FWAB and belongs now to a german investor and collector.



the paintjob was at first a bit strange in my eyes, but after a time its really great and shows the beautiful shape of that fighter

Boy oh boy this things hammers around ...wow .... good vibrations and I tell you this thing is loud ..... I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!

The first run lasted 8minutes and everything went perfect. No temperature problems, no leaks, a happy team of course !!!

I have to say I agree with you, Matthias. With that polished cowl, basic national markings and the unpainted tail surfaces, it almost looks like a prototype of some sort. I kinda like it, to be honest.

Will there be more added to the paint scheme, or is that "it"?

I'm going to say I didn't like that 'scheme' at first glance, but bearing in mind the aircraft is a 'new build' with no historical provenance, it has now grown on me. It shows off the lines of what is a pretty little aircraft.

Will the kill markings on BBD be replaced with the Balkenkreuz?

And bring it to Legends....

..... some engine and breaktests with the Ex-Kindsvater Buchon D-FMVS. The WkNr 234 now belongs to the "air fighter academy GmbH" based upon the island Usefdom at Heringsdorf airfield. The investorfamily Schuelke has a impressive collection of warbirds, this is one of them under maintenance at MeierMotors

Here you can Elmar Meier doing some test after the 25hours inspection. A new breaksystem was installed and this needed also some testing

"gimme five" exactly my thinking about this bird, and I tell you it looks great glazing in the sun. Its really an eyecatcher and something very special. And when the beast is awake .........

German law says "yes". Its not allowed to "wear" or show the swastika outside museums. Th french Fw190 F-AZZJ was taped before they arrived at Hahnweide airshow.

The Supermarine Spitfire (LF) Mk.XVIe -TE184- arrived the 20th April 2011 at MeierMotors !

This fantastic plane was bought by Stephen Stead and will be stored and maintained at MeierMotors /EDTG . Stephen is also the owner of the fantastic Yakovlev Yak-3 "White 5" D-FYGJ stored at MeierMotors.

It seems that a small country village in southern Germany, giving name to the ex-Nato airbase, is making a name in warbird-world. I never ever imagined that such a lot of fine first class warbirds would be concentrated at least at times (maintenance, storage, reconditioning) at one place in Germany at all.
Kudos to the Meier brothers to expand their aviation service into warbird paths. I would love to live there (well, besides it is the warmest area of whole Germany, which in itself has several points to it....).

Congratulations to the new owner.

Some updates concerning the second Focke Wulf project at MeierMotors... as I told you before, this is the ex-Tony Blair Fw190 from Duxford. This ship was sold to a German Collector and MeierMotors got the task to bring it to flyable condition with German Registration. Theses days the plane was ready for roll-out and for the first enginetests.

Roll out of WkNr980554 15th April 2011

The owner choosed a different radiator solution as Jerry Yagen. At this airframe there is installed a ring-radiator with a new airflow-system. The radiator ist new constructed with a bigger surface and a bigger "oilcontent". Also this plane has the huge oiltank in front of the windscreen (124ltr). All those ideas and new solutions were "transported" from Yagens fighter to this plane.
