Wow! Thanks for the replies, Newforest your photo post has answered a question ? I think ? (I searched Airliners.net and got no results for Air Mandalay ??) The flag / emblem behind the cockpit window is most helpful ! Let me explain .... A few days ago an ATR72 arrived here at NWI looking like this ....

Was rapidly moved into spray shop !!!

Today the doors to said spray shop were open ???? and the view inside revealed this ....

I can read Mandalay along the side ! but your photo of the flag / emblem seem to be the same ????

So is this ATR72 going to Borneo ?????

All may be revealed tomorrow ?????

Deano. Your photo of a red cross was somewhat helpfull thank mate.

Is the spray shop big enough for two ATR's and they got them mixed up? (conspiracy theory at work). :diablo:

Newforest. No No No. I think we must just wait for the rollout and hope someone is there to record the event :diablo:
I find some of these obscure spray jobs to be quite exciting ???

Well the waiting is partly over !!!! Rollout occured today, although not into the best of positions ?? as you will see she is not flying off anywhere too quickly, with at least one prop missing, and huge areas of the fuse covered with brown paper and masking tape (blue peter comes to mind)
If you look back at the links to Air Mandalay provided, so nicely, by other people, I think you will agree they seem to have been a little more adventureous with the colour scheme this time ??
Hoping for better photos in the near future ???

My 'new' information is that the aircraft is due to be delivered on 1st October to Air Mandalay and the registration is going to be XY-A** .

The reference to Air Contractors may be as lessors?

Couple of theories here. The plane was on an air test and returned to NWI which you can confirm at the weekend. Otherwise on the next day, an 'Air Contractors' ATR.72 left Stansted at 6.48pm for Schipol.

Awesome I did a presentational mock up of this for the designer back in July. Glad to see this got through.
