Hi :-), do you have the complete list for Tuesday at Biggin at all, they are dragging their heels now releasing the last few participants, many thanks
Mark____ I was a control tower operator at Republic Aviation when the P-47 was flown in from California to be restored. The photo is from the Paris airshow and is being flown by Glenn Bach, a former test pilot for Republic. Republic had closed down due to labor problems.
After the airplane was restored, it was flown many times at Republic by Glenn. He was the only pilot allowed to fly it because he was the only active pilot at Republic with prior experience in the bird. He had flown the P-47 in France during WW2.

Peter, Happened to drop in the forum after a really loong time - your post about No.8 Squadron "disbanding" at Hmwabi caught my eye - did they really? ORB clearly states that the air party of 17 Spitfires and 1 Harvard took off from Mingaladon, reached Baigachi via Akyab. And this was in January 1946..
Hello mark, I believe you knew my grandfather,
please do you know the composition of the "survival kit" on aircraft Spitfire version "tropicalized" in North Africa 1942-3.
Thank you very much for your help.
Mark12 - any chance I could get a hi res scan of the P-38E #76 Itsty Bitsy from your 2 july 2004 post of Stan Colley photos?
