Sergeant Pilot Douglas Butterworth

I have been looking at your messages regarding Douglas Butterworth and was amazed to find this information.

My Mum, Muriel (nee Brook) was engaged to Douglas at the time of his death.

She did not know that he had been on an operation to Cherbourg and had crashed at Wythall. She had always thought he had crashed at Binbrook. She was pleased to find out this information although of course was somewhat upset.

When I mentioned your location was Coventry she said you must be related to Harry and Milly Robinson. She remembers them coming to stay in Rochdale for a couple of days for some rest-bite from the bombing.

We are still in touch with Douglas's cousin, Barrie and I spoke to him at the weekend and he said you are Harry and Milly's grandson and your parents are Velda and Roger Garrett - is this correct?

You mentioned some photos that your Mum has - do you still have them and did you upload them? If so I'd be grateful if you could send me the link please.
