    After my Fathers death in 2006 I came across a photo of a slipper tank. I had heard through my Mother that he had designed a tank for the Spitfire. Subsequent searches seemed to verify this. He was working for Southern Aircraft in Croydon UK at the time. The link should take you to the patent. The other names, Shelley and Coxon, were management. Cheers
