I hope you dont mind my contacting you, but I am hoping you might be able to help me. I note through this forum that you are (or were) connected with Boscombe Down, and I am sure I have seen one of your previous posts which mentions you have copies of or access to Lancaster test reports. Please excuse me if this is incorrect.
I am currently researching a small group of Lancaster's in preparation for an extensive book, and am interested in ED735. It was involved in a test at Boscombe on 27th October 1943 of the static vents whilst fitted with bulged bomb doors. The aircraft was on Squadron strength at the time and so I assume flew down there only for the trial. It was lost only a short time later.
The test report is A & A E E / 766, part 43. Can you help with some details from it, or alternatively, a copy?
Thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing from you
